Faisalabad, Oct 28: The teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) offer a practical framework for peace and social harmony in an increasingly divided society, speakers said at a seminar at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad.

The seminar, titled ‘Remedy for intolerance in the light of the Teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH)’, was organised by Prof Dr Shazia Ramzan, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, at the New Senate Hall.

Addressing the gathering, Mufti Muhammad Zahid stressed that the Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) offered a practical framework for promoting peace, resolving differences and rebuilding social harmony.

He urged students to practise the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in their daily lives, avoid disputes and resolve disagreements through dialogue, wisdom and mutual understanding.

Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities Dr Shazia Ramzan said education should go beyond academic learning to nurture ethical values, responsible citizenship and respect for humanity. She emphasised that the teachings of Islam must be reflected in everyday behaviour.

She added that patience, compassion, honesty and respect for differing opinions were essential for building a peaceful and inclusive society.

The speakers said the practical implementation of the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) could help curb intolerance, bridge social divisions and strengthen harmony in society.
