FAISALABAD: Commissioner Faisalabad visited Allied Hospital One and inquired after the injured of the motorway collision near Sahianwala, directing doctors to provide every possible medical assistance, officials said.
He expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident and grief over the loss of precious human lives, offering condolences and sympathy to the bereaved families.
Doctors and hospital administration were directed to provide every possible medical assistance to the injured under treatment and to take special care of them until they fully recovered.
He said the families of the injured should face no difficulty in treatment or provision of medicines.
Medicines to be delivered at bedsides
Commissioner Faisalabad Division directed that patients under treatment in wards, especially emergency wards, of government hospitals in all four districts should be provided medicines at their beds.
He said providing facilities to patients and their attendants was the responsibility of hospital administrations, so medical superintendents should assign staff duties in wards and deliver medicines prescribed online by doctors from the medicine store to the concerned patient or attendant at the bed.
He said attendants bringing patients to hospitals were already worried about their loved ones, so the facility of delivering medicines to the bed should be provided so that they faced no difficulty.
The Chief Minister Punjab had issued clear directions for modern, standard and fast medical services in government hospitals, with no room for negligence, he said.
He said those coming to hospitals for treatment should be provided an environment that increased their confidence and left patients and attendants satisfied from treatment to doorstep delivery of medicines.
He made clear that making government hospitals complaint-free was a priority, for which medical superintendents should perform their duties well.
