FAISALABAD: A district administration post showing a spotless street in Samundri has drawn a flood of complaints instead. Residents say their own neighbourhoods were left dirty.
Commenters on the deputy commissioner’s Facebook page named Madina Town, Mehndi Mohallah and Khan Model Colony as areas still dirty.
Several commenters wrote that the street in the pictures was cleaned only because officials were visiting. Commenters argued that funds and staff exist all year, yet the work appears only on a visit day.
A few voices struck a different note and praised the drive as a good start. They hoped such cleaning would return every month, not once.
The deputy commissioner’s office replied to one complaint by asking for GPS-tagged evidence of the problem area.
