LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has said that elements frightened by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s growing popularity and performance always resort to personal attacks against her.
She said even those who preach ethics and values are consumed by hatred for Maryam Nawaz. The chief minister has shown practical performance, which is why she is receiving recognition at the global level.
Azma Bokhari said Maryam Nawaz launched the second phase of the laptop and scholarship scheme, taking another important step for the education, progress and bright future of the youth. The future of the nation’s children lies in technology, artificial intelligence and modern skills — not in containers, long marches and sit-ins.

She said Maryam Nawaz looks after the educational and social needs of Punjab’s sons and daughters like her own children. This is the reason her popularity is rising among the youth.
The provincial information minister said the dark era of fake change and hollow slogans has ended in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is responsible for the emergency situation in the province, as it set wrong priorities on terrorism instead of prioritising national interest and the province’s peace.
Azma Bokhari said the Pakistan Army and other security institutions are rendering sacrifices day and night to eliminate terrorism from the country. Irresponsible statements against security institutions at such a time amount to demoralizing our brave soldiers.
She said the entire Pakistani nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its brave soldiers and values their sacrifices for the country’s peace and stability.
