Faisalabad AQI to Ease From Hazardous 455 Today

FAISALABAD: Thick smog hangs over Faisalabad on Tuesday morning, with IQAir reporting a US AQI of 455, rated Hazardous, with PM2.5 at 303 micrograms per cubic metre.

At 9 AM, IQAir recorded 27 degrees Celsius, humidity 26 per cent and a south-southeast wind of 7 kilometres per hour.

Weather.com forecasts a high of 30 degrees Celsius and a low of 19 today, with a mostly sunny afternoon, west winds of 7 to 9 kilometres per hour and a rain chance of at most 4 per cent.

Wednesday is expected to reach a high of 31 degrees Celsius and a low of 19, with mostly sunny conditions, a south-southeast wind of 6 kilometres per hour and no rain expected.

IQAir forecasts the AQI easing from 455 in the morning to 291 by 4 PM and 152 by 9 PM, with a daily forecast of 232, rated Unhealthy, although smog may thicken again overnight as winds fall.

Children, the elderly and people with respiratory conditions should avoid outdoor exertion, wear a mask outdoors and keep windows closed in the morning and after sunset.
