FAISALABAD: The District Health Authority has warned that anyone tipping off quacks about enforcement raids will face strict legal action. The warning covers those who watch official teams and shield illegal clinics across Faisalabad district.
Chief Executive Officer Dr Shehzad Mahmood said it had come to the authority’s notice that certain suspicious persons watched the movements of enforcement teams and government vehicles. He said the tip-offs helped the quacks escape before the teams arrived.
Dr Mahmood said the identification of such persons was under way and the information about them was being verified.
He gave a clear and final warning that anyone obstructing legal proceedings would face strict action under the relevant laws. The same action awaited anyone illegally surveilling official teams or protecting quackery.
Dr Mahmood ruled out any compromise on public health and human lives. He said the anti-quackery campaign would continue in all circumstances.
