Japanese Surveyor Reviews WASA Citizen Services
Makiko Azuma, a member of the initial survey team of the JICA Water Improvement Project, visited the Customer Relations Centre and the One Window Desk at the WASA head office. She learned about the services provided at both facilities.

Deputy Director CRC Muhammad Amin Dogar briefed her on complaints lodged on the WASA Punjab complaint portal, their resolution and their records. He also explained the services offered at the one-window desk.
The one-window centre provides bill correction, instalments, public complaints and pension matters under one roof, the handout said. Citizens no longer have to visit different offices for these services.
Dozens of citizens get relief at the desk every day, which has further increased public trust in WASA Faisalabad, the deputy director said. Ms Azuma termed the services at the customer centre and the one-window desk commendable.
FDA Offices to Close on Saturdays
The Faisalabad Development Authority has implemented new office hours under which the authority will remain closed on Saturdays. Its offices will now work from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour prayer break on Fridays from 1pm to 2pm. Saturday and Sunday will be weekly holidays.
Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry issued the formal order, which takes effect immediately. The decision follows the approval given at the 126th meeting of the authority’s governing body.
The order says the new schedule will not affect official business, meetings and other engagements fixed by the divisional and district administrations.
