ISLAMABAD: The petrol price in Pakistan today, 20 October 2026, stands at Rs 381.14 per litre. High-speed diesel is priced at Rs 389.27 per litre across the country.
According to the notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the federal government’s pricing mechanism. The revised rates are effective from 20 October 2026.
| Fuel | Price (per litre) | Change |
|---|---|---|
| Petrol | Rs 381.14 | − Rs 5.16 |
| High-Speed Diesel | Rs 389.27 | − Rs 7.69 |
The petrol rate was reduced from Rs 386.30 per litre, while diesel dropped from Rs 396.96 per litre.
The Petroleum Division attributed the adjustment to global market developments, including movements in Platts rates, premiums and incidental costs.
Under the revised framework approved by the federal cabinet, OGRA publishes updated fuel prices on a daily basis from Monday to Friday to improve transparency and allow consumers to benefit more quickly from changes in international oil markets.
In the previous revision, the government had reduced the price of petrol by Rs 3.93 to Rs 386.30 per litre while keeping diesel unchanged at Rs 396.96 per litre, effective from 17 to 19 October 2026.
