ISLAMABAD: The petrol price in Pakistan today, 22 October 2026, stands at Rs 379.31 per litre. High-speed diesel is priced at Rs 390.11 per litre across the country.
According to the OGRA notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the revised ex-depot rates are effective from 22 October 2026. The petrol rate was cut by Rs 2.71 per litre while the diesel rate went up by Rs 0.31 per litre.
| Fuel | Price (per litre) | Change |
|---|---|---|
| Petrol | Rs 379.31 | – Rs 2.71 |
| High-Speed Diesel | Rs 390.11 | + Rs 0.31 |
The cut takes the petrol rate down from Rs 382.02 per litre, while diesel climbs from Rs 389.80 per litre.
The Petroleum Division said the change in prices was necessitated by global events, including changes in Platts rates, premiums and incidentals.
OGRA revises ex-depot fuel prices daily from Monday to Friday on the basis of international oil prices and exchange rate movements. Rates notified on Friday stay in force through Saturday and Sunday.
Pakistan switched to the daily pricing mechanism on 17 July 2026. The system replaced the earlier weekly revisions so pump prices now track international markets more closely.
The revision comes a day after the government raised petrol by Rs 0.88 and diesel by Rs 0.53 per litre. The next revision is expected on Friday, 23 October 2026.
