He directed the SHOs of Tibbi City, Lohari Gate and Masti Gate to control crime and told the SHOs of Shahdara, Islampura and Shahdara Town to further improve their performance.

The DIG ordered accountability of those possessing or displaying illegal weapons and directed full-scale operations against drug dealers, besides the arrest of fraudsters, pickpockets and mobile snatchers.

He directed officers to treat visitors to police stations with respect and not make them wait unnecessarily. He also directed officers to behave well with subordinates and work as a team for the department.

He said there is a zero-tolerance policy on corruption and warned that strict departmental and legal action would be taken wherever corruption is proved.
